What do you do at Shearwater Health?
I work with the Nurse Recruitment team to get our nurses to the U.S. Specifically, I handle the scheduling of each arrival. I am also working to get each of our new nurses to take and pass the NCLEX exam, therefore, licensing them as U.S. Registered Nurses.
What makes you passionate about your work at Shearwater Health?
My work makes me feel like I am playing a part in changing the lives of our nurses, along with their families. This gives me a great amount of determination to work hard to make that difference that they all deserve.
What has been your favorite memory while working at Shearwater Health?
I have a lot of favorite memories, but I think my favorite thing about working at Shearwater is that I get to see our nurses and their families grow and adapt to life in the U.S. It has been such a rewarding experience, and I am glad to be a part of it.
If you could have any superpower, which would you choose and why?
Time travel, because I love history and I believe that I have an old soul. I think it would be neat to travel back to the 40’s!
What is your favorite food?
Sweet potatoes. I will eat them any way that you can prepare them!
What is your favorite animal?
Dogs, for sure. I grew up with Labrador Retrievers in my family. The most recent was Trout, a black lab, who just passed away at the human age of 13 (82 in dog years).
