What do you do at Shearwater Health?
As an Executive Assistant I wear many hats, which is great because I look great in most hats. I support four of our sales executives through lead generation and follow up, schedule and travel coordination, and everything in between. Outside of directly supporting “my guys,” I’ve taken on projects in training, research, strategic partnerships, prospect outreach, and corporate give-back initiatives.
What makes you passionate about your work at Shearwater Health?
I am a servant leader by nature, so I express my passion by giving others the support they need to succeed. For me, it all starts at the desk-level. I take pride in “the grind” and know that others’ success is dependent on my daily discipline. My team can rely on me to get the job done and make them laugh along the way.
What has been your favorite memory while working at Shearwater Health?
In a remarkable twist of fate, within the first year of working here, we secured a contract with a hospital system in/around my home town. It just so happens that the first wave of nurses was placed at a hospital where my mother served as a nurse in the 80s and where I was born several years later. What’s more serendipitous, is that those nurses took their first-day picture on the same stoop where my mother took a picture on her first day all those years ago. It was one of those reassuring moments where the stars aligned to let me know I am right where I need to be.
