Shearwater & Clients
Our goal is to make the perfect match between a client and a group of our nurses
In order to achieve the perfect match, we understand the hospital’s requirements (specialty, experience, certifications) and seek out nurses in our pipeline that match these qualifications. We only make a match once both parties are in agreement.
Typical client partnerships include:
Education on the immigration process in order to set plans and expectations
Personalization of the nurse deployment to match client needs with
onboarding and training
Commitment to client satisfaction during the entire partnership
Regular formal and informal check-ins
Immediate action on any performance issue
Performance improvement plans, if needed, for any nurse
Experts at Managing the U.S. Transition
All Shearwater nurses are supported and managed by our U.S.-based account management team.
This team expertly guides the nurses through the psychological and emotional transition to becoming full-time employees in the U.S. healthcare system, and continues to support them throughout their entire contract.
Highlights of the three levels of the transition are:
Arrange all aspects of housing
RN license endorsement to their specific state
Build support team from other Shearwater nurses in the area
Personally meet each nurse at the airport upon arrival
Spend a few days with each nurse to acclimate them to city and hospital
Ongoing communication between the nurse and account management team
Regularly scheduled reviews and meetings
Experts at Managing the Solution
The U.S.-based account management team also maintains the on-going relationship with the client to ensure that the solution is working at the highest possible level.
This management begins even before a contract is signed and lasts throughout the entire partnership.
Transparent about entire timeline regarding nurses
Collaboration in planning for the nurse’s arrival
Consistent communication with managers and HR staff to ensure that nurse performance is up to expectations
