Nashville, TN | Shearwater Health is proud to announce that it has renewed its URAC Accreditations in Health Utilization Management and Workers’ Comp Utilization Management at its three Philippine Healthcare Delivery Centers.
URAC is the independent leader in promoting healthcare quality through leadership, accreditation, measurement, and innovation. By achieving this status, Shearwater has demonstrated a comprehensive commitment to quality care, improved processes, and better patient outcomes.
Shearwater has previously earned certifications and accreditations from URAC and successfully completed the renewal process to earn these accreditations through 2024.
“I’m proud of our teams both in Nashville and The Philippines that continually ensure we uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance for our healthcare clients,” said Shearwater’s CEO Tom Kendrot. “One of our core values is a commitment to service and excellence, and the URAC accreditations are a part of solidifying that commitment.
“Appropriateness and efficiency are words to live by in meeting new value-based goals for population health. Shearwater Health’s URAC accreditations show an ability to abide by the gold standard when it comes to performing Health Utilization Management/Workers’ Compensation Utilization Management functions,” said URAC President and CEO Shawn Griffin, M.D. “URAC’s utilization management accreditation standards promote an evidence-based and reasonable review of services that respect both patients and providers.”
Because of a shortage of clinicians, it’s difficult to scale healthcare organizations. Shearwater Health provides teams of remote and onsite clinicians that expand the size and impact of clinical teams, so that clients can focus on internal teams practicing at the peak of their license.
From bedside to back-office, there are over 3,000 Shearwater clinicians solving medical and administrative problems every hour of every day all over the world. Shearwater combines clinical expertise with Six Sigma process excellence and RPA technology to improve healthcare outcomes.
