Shearwater Health is excited to announce its recent launch of “Humans in Healthcare” – a podcast that highlights stories in healthcare that impact clinical teams, connect people, and transform lives.

Humans in Healthcare is hosted by Shearwater’s Chief Marketing Officer, Nathan King. He interviews healthcare leaders on their experience, their views on healthcare, and what led them into their careers.

The first episode of Season 1 launched on September 30th and subsequent episodes have released on a weekly basis to continue until December. This season has featured prominent hospital and healthcare guests such as Dr. Marc Watkins (CMO of Kroger Health), Dr. Claire Zangerle (CNE of Allegheny Health Network), and Dr. Lyle Berkowitz (virtual health thought leader).

While the focus is on people who work in healthcare, the guest list and conversation topics are varied, making it a compelling show for personal and professional growth in other industries as well. “The nature of our work brings us into contact with healthcare leaders in diverse areas of the industry who have done amazing things,” said King. “We think a broader audience will draw personal inspiration from the examples we highlight on the show.”

In just the first few episodes, King and his guests cover visionary leadership, employee retention strategies, racism in America, inspirational mentors, responses to the pandemic, and creating a fulfilling career.

“Healthcare is the most intimately ‘human’ of all industries,” said King. “Our podcast guests’ stories provide insight and examples of what it means to be human in healthcare, a topic that can positively shape the world.”
