Role Overview:  The Payer Marketing & Development Director is a hands-on opportunity to join a dynamic organization and a high-energy sales/development team focused daily on growing the business.  You will be an integral part of the Payer Growth Team managing marketing, targeted communications, lead generation, social media, growth team operations and project management, with the ultimate goal of driving new sales.  In addition, you will be focused on identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across the sales organization; scope and prioritize the projects; and work cross-functionally to implement those projects in a timely fashion to increase Growth opportunities. You are driven, energetic and excited for the opportunity to grow professionally while growing an organization dedicated to our clients.  This utility role includes project management and change agent rolled into one. Essential Functions

  • Manage marketing communications & lead generation strategy, business development operations, social media, and projects/campaigns
  • Prospect and setup presentations/meetings in support of development executives
  • Develop strategic Payer marketing and lead generation strategy and execute
  • Collaborate and manage multiple marketing/strategy stakeholders internally & externally
  • Maintain brand narrative and value prop to payers and providers
  • Develop, tailor, and enhance sales collateral/presentations/marketing materials based on prospect profile
  • Manage conference exhibition/presentation opportunities, driving execution and representation
  • Salesforce administration – manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and sales reporting for Payer team
  • Coordinate and manage RFP processes, including responses and response library
  • Administrative duties as necessary

Key Qualifications and Characteristics for Success in Role

  • Experience in growth, performance, and digital marketing, communications, lead generation, social media promotion (organic and paid) to B2B and B2C clients.
  • Solid understanding of inbound marketing principles, marketing automation strategy, lead nurturing, content distribution, remarketing/retargeting, and client lifecycle stages
  • Active client engagement and listening to understand and develop target market theories and segmented messaging
  • Analysis of deal and sales operations data for opportunities both for potential customers, business improvements and marketing campaigns
  • Deal Overview and summary creation
  • Project and prospect prioritization
  • Gathering requirements, planning, scheduling, and executing cross-functional projects such as RFP responses, new market analyses, etc
  • Collaborating with colleagues across multiple teams to inform brand stories, value prop, and ensure marketing message is well-received
  • Reviewing existing procedures and identifying potential improvements
  • Proactively spotting potential needs/problems before they arise
  • Proven competency in Excel, Powerpoint, Salesforce, Word, Hubspot/CMS software equivalent, Google Analytics, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator – data reporting
  • Strong communication, copywriting, editing and proofing skills, including writing documents for and speaking with senior executives
  • Sufficient knowledge and maintenance of marketing industry, lead generation campaigns, and best practices


Professional Requirements:

  • 3+ years proven working experience in sales/marketing role, project manager, business operations, or management consulting – preferably in healthcare
  • Experience working with or in a health plan strongly preferred
  • Able to work independently and with broad instructions
  • High attention to detail
