Featured Presenter at NCU Nursing Symposium 2017
The Shearwater Nurse Recruitment team has touched down in Jamaica this week with a busy schedule of clinical interviews, receptions, and speaking events.
One event that we’re excited to highlight is the Nursing Symposium at Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville. This is part of Research Week taking place at NCU this week.
On Wednesday, Feb 8, our clinical interviewer, Dr. Winnie Fritz, will be presenting on “Innovations in Healthcare and Implications for Professional Nurses.” Here is a summary of her presentation:
“Healthcare has been forever evolving. Clinical research has given us evidence-based practice… new ways of providing illness care and keeping people well. Through technology and a better understanding of how adults learn, we have integrated new ways of providing care and of teaching patients and healthcare professionals. Changing reimbursement systems now require that our nurse leaders focus on the TRIPLE AIM:
- Better care/care experiences with…
- Better health outcomes at…
- Lower costs
We will highlight these changes and implications for the professional practice of nursing.”
Our VP of Product Development, Nathan King, will also be speaking about Shearwater Health’s dual-model of recruiting nurses to the U.S. and outsourcing clinical processes to facilities around the world. Hear the local radio AD (below) about the event and collaboration between Shearwater Health and the nursing department of NCU.
We look forward to seeing you there!
